I have lernt about manatees. To clect infomashion by yousing books and by going on the compuota.
Phyisical Description
manatees look like a fish.Manatees live in worm water.Manatees are mamals like us they have to breath when they are in the water.Manatees eat sea grass .Manatees are geting danjerd becuase of fishing nets.We could have one secshion for manatees and one secshion for fishing and one secshion for swimming.

In this project I will now use all of my reserach to help design a plan to save the manatee.

My solution.
when people are going in there boat they can drive were manatees are,
but they have to look out for the manatees,so they wont get killed by the boat,but if they dont listern we will charge them lots of money.if they still don't lisern we will charge them evan more money.

hurt by boats and getting hunted and the sea getting poisend and there is not
enough of food.

In this project I will now use all of the informatioin I researched to design a solution, a plan to save the manatees.

My solution.

I am going to do three seprate places one place for fishing second place is for all
the boats and the third one is for the mantees to swim and eating.
These areas will be made by floating fences and signs along the coast water.
these areas will be watched manatee guards.
The money for this project will come from donations.
If the boat goes into the mantees place someone would say that is the mantees
place.

My solution
I am going to put camras in hiddin places. these camras are going to record boats if they are driveing over them.

Manatees.

The Florida manatee, Florida’s state marine mammal, is a large aquatic relative of the elephant. They are greyish brown in colour and have thick, wrinkled skin on which there is often a growth of algae. Their front flippers help them steer or sometimes crawl through shallow water. They also have powerful flat tails that help propel them through the water. Despite their small eyes and lack of outer ears, manatees are thought to see and hear quite well.

Destruction and degradation of their coastal and freshwater habitat. The leading known cause of death is by boat strikes; propellers and hulls inflict serious or mortal wounds. Most manatees have a pattern of scars on their backs or tails after surviving collisions with boats. Scientists use these patterns to identify individuals. Manatees are also vulnerable to cold water. They have been found crushed or drowned in flood-control gates and suffer harm from exposure to toxic red tide. In addition, a large number of manatees die from unknown causes each year.

In this project we will be developing of research skills to create ideas for a project themed on Manatee conservation.

The learning and skills we discover in this project will help us with our own research projects.
